The Power of Prayer : Step by Step

Usually we take the ablution before pray then start praying by making praying movements as usual.
For the power of prayer is not only like that. We have to understand each set steps of prayers. Start from listening the athan (adzan) until salam as the termination of praying. All contain meanings and suggestions into the minds and souls of our subconscious.

The first step before performing the prayer is the preparation, include :

The 2nd step is perhaps the most important stage, before we say the intention to utter the pray, we stand quietly and let the soul go quietly.  At this stage we enter the alpha waves, a wave of relaxation, as we enter this wave then we can give any suggestion to the subconscious mind and our soul.

The 3rd step is 'Takbir'.  'Takbir' is a brief movement in prayer. Usually we 'Takbir' with raised hands and say, "Allahu Akbar," that's it. But to make our prayer we not only qualified to do so. We perform Takbir as a form of recognition of the soul and body against the majesty of God.

The 4th step is read Qs. Al Fatihah (Qs.1) as the opening relationship to the God
then read short verses from the Qur'an to reinforce the suggestion.

The 5th step is give in our soul with 'ruku' and establishing our soul with 'itidal'

The 6th step is return lowered our souls and bodieswith prostrate.

The 7th step is communicate our soul with God while sitting 'iftirasy'.

The 8th step is deepening to strengthen the suggestion that we have given by repeating the 4th step to 7th step plus sitting 'tahiyat'.

The 9th step is greetings (salam) as the final activity in the prayer.

All the steps performed by a full understanding of the meaning contained therein. Although we read using the Arabic language but we do not have to learn Arabic first, enough to know and understand the purpose of reading that we say, so the suggestion that we provide can be understood by the soul of our subconscious. And during the process of suggestion would be better if we included the appreciation of genuine emotion.

If all of these steps are done properly then we will get the power of prayer.
